I'm on a table roll!

I had so much fun doing the English tea table that I was inspired to do another table. I love the cabriole legs and I knew that French tables have a similar shape. I really can't say this is a French table because I was not copying anything. What I really need are good photos of a French table from all angles to make a copy in  miniature.

This is a whole new type of carving for me and I am really enjoying the experience.
This table is hand carved from cherry wood.

This table is up on ebay:

  7. It is a gorgeous table and beautifully carved. Those legs are so graceful. They get so thin towards the bottom I can't believe they don't break while you are working on them.

  8. Hi Linda,
How did I miss this post? That table is absolutely stunning and I can't believe the detail in the carving. The legs are beautifully proportioned --you have an expert's eye if you made up the design without any reference at all. Truly impressive!
    XOXO,

  9. Oooh! This lovely! What a cute little table. French or not, the proportions are perfect! And your crisp carving adds flair where needed. And the 'ankles' in the legs are super dooper elegant! Eye candy!
