I realized it had been over a year since I posted an update on the little lemon tree. So even though I am not posting about miniatures right now, I felt an update was in order. He is doing really well, loving the beautiful summer. He got a nice new larger pot this spring. Transplanting him scared me. But he did just fine :)
Looking just lovely! Congrats on a successful repotting.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sheila :)
DeleteWOW! He has taken off. It might be a few more years until you're eating lemons but don't give up it will happen. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Catherine, I'm just glad to have him considering the unlikely start he got!
DeleteYou're obviously doing everything right for the tree Linda, he's flourishing :0)
ReplyDeleteThank you Pepper :)
DeleteIt's great to see the little tree growing so well! Not all trees like "captivity"! When it blooms the smell is heavenly! Hmmm... this reminds me I have been planning to make some potted Lemon Trees for my conservatory... maybe I will make them soon!
ReplyDeleteMaybe my little lemon tree has inspired you? Very cool!
DeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tree. I am glad he's doing so well.
Big hug
Giac
Thank you Giac---hugs back!
DeleteEven without lemons it is a lovely tree. Such a joy to grow something from seed and see it thrive!
ReplyDeleteThank you Josje, yes especially since I had almost given up when he poked his little head out :)
DeleteI think it is Grand that you have nurtured this plant from the seed to the seedling and that now it has produced a lovely crop of leaves. Are you planning on training it to conform to a particular shape Linda, or is going to grow free-style?
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth,
DeleteI am more of a let nature do it's own thing kind of grower. Just ask my grape vines......hahaha. Seriously, I'll help them along but that's about it.
