Enough already.....

.....but it's kinda pretty I have to admit :) This morning, the view out my side window. Can you spot the little splash of red? That's my lilac bush. A cutting from my neighbor's 100 year old tree. I had to mark it so the power company wouldn't cut it down mowing their right of way. I've been here 16 years and last year was the first time they wanted to mow under the power lines. Never thought of it when I planted it there.... That's the only thing under the lines. I've got baby apple trees started from seed, and another lilac bush, a cutting from the bush back home from my childhood. I'd say that bush is at least 60 years old. Thankfully nothing else ended up under a power line!

  1. It looks like a black and white photo to me. I never found the red I'm afraid. It might just be my screen. Winter pictures always look rather dismal unless it's Christmas postcard sort of snow. Bare branches, frosty or not, just look dead to me.
I am glad they didn't mow down all the things you planted. I know how much they mean to you.

  3. Hello Linda,
How wonderful your yard must be in the warmer months. I am also quite fed up of snow...but as you said, it is awfully pretty to look at.

    1. A couple hours later all the snow fell off the branches and it was just another yucky winter day, so I'm glad I took this picture when I saw it. Thanks for the comment :)
